Supplied Energy and Installed Energy: Making Geothermal Easier and More Affordable

Supplied Energy and Installed Energy are teaming up to make geothermal installs easier and more affordable in Illinois. We’ve heard what HVAC contractors are saying—there’s a real need for more drilling availability and extra hands on the job, without driving up overhead costs. When you install a GeoComfort VT or YT system and buy the equipment from Supplied Energy and drilling services from Installed Energy, you get discounted package pricing and a smoother, faster install from start to finish.

What's Included in Our Geothermal Heat Pump Packages?

From Supplied Energy

With this package pricing, contractors get:

  • Our Supplied Energy Design Team handles the load calculations and system design for you. Just send over the project specs, and we’ll put together a complete, professional system design. And soon, you'll be able to access everything online through your own contractor project dashboard—complete with customized proposals for each job, all in one place.

  • Choose from the GeoComfort Vertical Compact Package (GVT) or the Multi-Position Vertical Package (GYT) ground source heat pumps, available in 2- to 6-ton sizes. Both models are great for residential forced air heating and cooling, and they come with a desuperheater that can cut water heating costs by up to 40% a year. The GVT is a bit more compact and budget-friendly than the GYT, which makes it a great option when space or cost is a factor. Not sure which unit is the best fit for your project? Just ask—we're here to help and can walk you through the best choice based on the whole scope of the project.

  • We've got accessories covered—each package includes a Geo-Flo pressurized flow center, a wall-mounted (non-pressurized) reservoir tank, a Sensi Touch 2 thermostat, a condensate trap, and a pad for the unit to sit on. Backed by over a century of combined geothermal expertise, our team recommends including Fernox in every system to protect against corrosion and limescale buildup—so we’ve made sure it’s part of the package, too.

From Installed Energy

Here's what you'll get from Installed Energy with this package pricing:

Vertical bore geothermal ground loop installation, including exterior tie-in, interior piping, and the system flushed/filled. We'll do 150' bore holes with the loop 100% grouted and up to 50' header pipe and mechanical wall seals. We use methanol with inhibitor as our inhibitor/antifreeze type. With this package pricing, the interior piping maximum distance is 20' and the exterior header pipe maximum distance is 50'. Contractor is responsible for after install service, GSHP location selection, high/low voltage electrical, condensate piping, sales contractor, and end-user communications. Installed Energy adders could apply based on project needs outside of what's included in the package.

What Contractors Need to Know

These packages are ideal for new construction projects, contractors that are new to geothermal, or those needing labor support. If you’re already installing geothermal—or thinking about jumping in—these packages were made to simplify the process. As the contractor for each project utilizing this special package pricing, you're responsible for determining the ground source heat pump location, any necessary ductwork, electrical supply, and any contracts or communications with the home or building owner.
